Care & storage
Surface fuzz is normal. New jute develops a layer of fine fuzz. Some people singe this off; you can also brush it off with a coir brush, or just allow it to shed naturally with use. It's part of the breaking-in phase every jute rope goes through and not a defect.
Keep it dry. Jute is a natural fibre doesn't love being damp. If you can, we recommend airing your ropes out after use by hanging them. If your ropes do get wet you'll need to hang them under tension.
Re-oil when it dries out. Over time and use, jute loses some of the oils and will start to feel stiff and brittle. Re-treat the ropes with a jute-suitable oil (camellia/tsubaki oil is standard, jojoba oil is also very popular). How often you'll need to treat your ropes depends on how often you use it, whether it's used on skin or clothing and also the climate.

Great rope, and very well written guide book. However you will need to buy extra rope quite soon, as 2 ropes don't go very far, and more advanced ties need at least 4 ropes
I went to a rope jam (thinking it was a beginner's class - ha!) and had a wonderful time tying - the booklet and rope are just superb.
Great quality rope and book in the beginners rope kit. Originally worried about timing as they had stock issues at the time of order I didn't know about, and there were delays. However once I reached out, they offered to upgrade my ropes and send asap, they made it just in time on the day of the event! Would recommend, and will be ordering from them again.

This is a decent kit. Very good quality rope (I went for the natural jute, which is treated already, but still natural colour). Shears are always essential for safety. The book is useful, with clear, step-by-step diagrams for some of the ties.
The only minor issue I found, is that my ribcage is fairly large, and I have fairly broad shoulders, so two ropes were not enough to finish the basic harness tie in the book. However, everything else is great, so I'm now going to go back & buy more ropes of the same sort.

I got the Ogawa ropes, which are much nicer than the Anatomie ropes. Everything about this product is great, although I haven’t used the book very much if I’m honest.
I really dislike the name. It feels shamey. I collected the order in person and had someone shouted full volume ‘SUPER BEGINNER KIT’ about 5 times and it did not make me feel good. I’m not a beginner, I just came back from over seas and didn’t have any kit.
Is it possible to have a knot tying instruction sheet ? Thanks

Only one recommendation: include a sample of your oil or vax.
Not worth buying as a kit, buying separately would have been cheaper and better.

I had a little look based on your comment and I can confirm the kit works out cheaper than burying the items individually - the red jute is priced at £21 per length unlike the natural jute which is £17.90 - the total for the kit in red is £58 which is what you paid, and buying items individually would have cost you £64.50,

After lots of looking around I decided to buy from here. The kit is great, rope is really nice, the book is amazing and has great explanations and ideas and the added bonus of the snips just incase is great.
I also brought two of the (b ropes) so i had more to practice with and they are perfect, will be back for more bits. The B rope came treated too which made it really easy to see the difference between the ropes when they are treated vs untreated. Great communication from seller.

Good to get started, but I quickly looked into longer ropes to be able to do more. Hoped for some illustrations and ideas for Shibari on men. Find it pretty expensive for what it is.

I really loved the texture of the ropes and how it felt on my hands, the model i tried them on also enjoyed how it felt, i also love the details on the book and the stickers and additional information that i received, will most likely buy more stuff =)
I bought this kit because, well, I considered myself to be a beginner. I found the instructions in the book hard to understand sometimes. I'm confused why the double column tie didn't include a wrap between the arms, for example. I appreciate the quick-release version though. Got frustrated with the book closing itself during a session. I also made the assumption that if this kit contains two ropes that would be enough. It wasn't enough to complete the first harness in the book. The rope itself was fine, though a bit frizzier than I expected.
